Dr. Jen Donnell, BM, MS, Ed.D. (2022)

Dr. Jen Donnell is a Behavioral Musicologist and a recent graduate of Liberty University School of Music where she earned her Doctorate in Music Education. Her interest in Myers-Briggs Personality Type Theory led her to develop Personality Based Performance Theory which questions the influence of personality type on the learning abilities, artistic development and career decisions of singers and musicians. Dr. Donnell’s experience spans music entertainment, higher education and corporate HR management. She specializes in helping busy executives, senior leaders and musicians develop and execute their Personal Effectiveness Plan (PEP) so they can realize their professional aspirations while managing their lives more effectively over time. Jen employs a holistic approach in her practice incorporating the time-tested principles of time management, work life balance, health & wellness, leadership skills, career planning, and Myers-Briggs Personality Type Theory. 
 

Her wealth of experience supporting both executive leaders, musicians and music organizations establishes her as an innovative thinker in the areas of leadership coaching, talent consulting, executive coaching, career planning, and life coaching. Jen has a sharp business mind and cutting edge analytical skills yet, she is creative at heart. Her depth of experience in musicology, performance psychology, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion helps her to think outside of the box. Jennifer’s past employment relationships include; Trulieve Cannabis, Comcast Advertising – Philadelphia, Persado LLC – New York, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising – New York, Amazon.com, and other companies. She has also provided D&I consulting services to organizations like; Google, Baker Tilly LLP, QVC, and the University of West Virginia. Jen Donnell holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Development & Human Resources from The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.

She also holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from The Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Organizational Development and Human Resources from The Krannert School of Management. Jennifer holds professional certifications in Coaching, PROSCI Change Management, Myers Briggs Type Theory and Human Resources Management. Jennifer is a co-founder of iTalk Events which merges leadership content, pop culture and stage drama to inspire diverse audiences while building a “ready” pipeline of diverse talent.
