International DJ Casper

The International DJ Casper, also known as Joseph Terrance Wright, is considered one of the most iconic musicians and celebrity DJs on the East Coast. The son of a very talented musician and percussionist, the acclaimed turntablist was born in Philadelphia and grew up in a very supportive, musically inclined household where he was introduced to the art of DJi’ng by his older brother at the age of 5. During the 80’s DJ Casper quickly developed and mastered the art form while under the tutelage of legendary musicians in the Philly circuit; his major influencers were Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, and his very own brothers Kell and Johnny Wright. 
 
DJ Casper’s recognition advanced rapidly across the PA/NJ/NY tri-state with the rise of neighborhood house parties, known as “Dollar Parties” for which he often served as the main attraction. Casper’s fame continued to mount when he accepted the position to run music for Club Dances, formerly a lively young adult nightclub frequented by thousands of youth across The City of Philadelphia. DJ Casper was awarded “Best Club DJ” by Bobby (Dance) McLean and Christopher Redz Wayman and became recognized as the most sought after DJ in Philadelphia.

“Cas” as he is affectionately called by family, friends and industry colleagues, has since gained national and international notoriety in the music industry through his music, in-person appearances, LIVE performances and collaborations with other artists and producers. He has opened up via LIVE performance for artists such as; Jay Z, DMX, Mase, Fat Joe, Nicki Minaj and many others and has been invited to appear on MTV’s My Super Sweet Sixteen, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and PHL LIVE Award Show. He was also cast as the “DJ” in Brotherly Love,  the movie. Moreover; Casper’s musical genius has been leveraged in the production of sound tracks for television and film to include;  Empire, Star, Fox News and Deadpool. 

While a substantial portion of his time is spent on music production under his own label Caspaws Music and for DarkChild Records which Rodney Jerkins signed him to in 2012, he still finds time to perform LIVE sets at major events, clubs and Atlantic City casinos including and holds residencies at various Casinos to include; Caesars, Tropicana and Resorts. Career highlights also include serving as the official DJ for 104.7 FM (KUDK) and Music Choice. 

DJ Casper is elated to serve as Chief Operating Officer for iTalk Events, an entertainment based platform that he co- founded with Jen Donnell, Sr. Producer and head of Talent, that merges leadership content with pop culture and stage drama.
